Attorney & Counselor at Law

Board Certified in Family Law & Mediator

Margo Ahern Fox is Board Certified in Family Law, practicing law for over 21 years in Williamson & Travis counties. She began her practice in civil litigation, but quickly developed a passion for Family Law.  Having built a dedicated team who recognize the uniqueness of every case and client, Fox Law excels at listening to a client’s circumstances; his or her immediate needs and long-term wishes; and then works to find creative solutions for accomplishing the best outcome for each client. While Margo is skilled in the art of negotiation and conflict resolution, she is also an experienced litigator in both bench trials and jury trials.

Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Margo primarily represents clients with cases involving:

  • Divorce, including complex estate, high-asset cases
  • Child Custody (conservatorship, possession, child support)
  • Modifications (conservatorship, possession, child support, spousal maintenance)
  • Enforcement Actions (parental rights, possession, child support, property division)
  • Grandparent, Step-parent, and Non-parent Rights
  • Adoption / Step-parent adoptions
  • Jury Trials

In addition to litigating cases, she practices Collaborative Law, a solution-oriented alternative to the traditional divorce process.

Margo is also an experienced mediator, providing conflict resolution services to cases involving divorce, modification of parental rights, possession, child support, and enforcement actions.

Margo lives in Round Rock, Texas with her husband and their two children.  Outside of the office, she devotes her time to family and her church community.

Kathleen Burnett

Intern

Beginning her internship with Fox Law in January of 2022, Kathleen is a Pre-law Intern from Southwestern University.  Kathleen relocated to Texas from Ontario Canada and plans to complete law school and practice family and education law.

Kathleen is dedicated to helping navigate the difficult process of divorce and the challenges that come with family law issues.  Being a divorcee herself, she knows first-hand how difficult it can be for families.  Kathleen enjoys the supportive atmosphere of Fox Law and feels it’s her purpose to help others through the process of divorce in as kind of a manner as possible – always looking for ways both sides can remain as amicable as possible, finding kind ways for parties to co-parent and work together, and keeping the goal of what is best for the family at the heart of the resolution.

Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her four children, riding her horses, and going for a jog with her chocolate lab, Charlie!
